I wanted to say thank you for a wonderful experience on my recent trip to China. Everything went very smoothly and everyone from the tour guides to the staff on board the MV Dragon were fantastic and made my vacation truly memorable, especially Allan. I would not hestitate to recommend China Highlights to anyone! I am already planning a vacation to travel up to Beijing and perhaps another place sometime in 2009, probably in October when the weather is cooler. Although I know I will enjoy going to Beijing I prefer going places of interest that are somewhat off of what we westerners call "the beaten path", any ideas you may want to share I would be interested in. One of my fondest memories was actually going to Yichang. It was completely different then what I expected. First of all i wish to thank you for the wonderful trip to china. i saw so many beautiful and unique things. i am glad we made this an extended vacation and had a variety of experiences. the tour guides were very professional and knowldegeable and likeable.

The walk on the jinshailing wall cannot be compared with anything else on this earth. just my husband and me and the guide and distance from the madness of the city. the wall was spellbinding. i could see it stretching out into the distance in all its majesty.

Later in the trip we went to bandanling with our friends - that was no fun at all with the mobs of people. i didn't even bother trying to climb there. as far as i am concerned, if people want to visit the wall, the only way to go is jinshanling.

As you know, we spent about ten days in a group tour with a some friends. it was really nice to visit with our friends and have people to socialize and laugh with. but the truth is that the part of the tour we did with china highlights was far superior to the group tour we did with our friends - partly because we chose the activities we wanted to do, we had a lot more flexibility deciding how much time to spend at each sight, but also in a big way because the tour guides gave us so much special attention.

First we wanted to thank you for all of your hard work in putting together our tour of China. For the most part we were very happy with the trip.

Tour Guide: As Keith told you on the phone, we cannot say enough about Xin. She was the absolute best tour guide in the world. She made us feel special from the moment she picked us up at the airport until the moment we had to say good bye. Well, the easiest way for me to tell you how wonderful we think she is, is to forward you an e-mail I sent to all of our family and friends about our time with her.

Thank you once again for all your help, overall we were very pleased with China Highlights.

I must also compliment you on the excellent manner in which you handled the entire process of booking my itinerary, the last minute changes with Lhasa, and all of the arrangements.

Hotels and Meals: All of the hotels without exception were excellent, not only in terms of facilities and rooms, but also in terms of location.

Attractions: Surprisingly, Guilin has been one of the highlights of the trip, it really is a spectacular city and I can see why China Highlights has their offices there. Prashanta and I enjoyed all of the cities including the Yangtze cruise. Each city is different and beautiful in its own way.

Tour Guide: The travel guides were also all professional and quite knowledgeable. Our best experience has been with Joe in Shanghai.

We were totally pleased with our China Highlights tour. Everything was as promised and exactly what we wanted.

Hotel: The hotel was very comfortable and in a convenient location.

Tour Guide: Our tour guide, Tracy, was fantastic and made our experience extra special. Her suggestions for us were always very helpful. Her local knowledge was great. She truly represented your company and China in a very positive way.

Most Memorable Attractions: The most memorable parts of our trip were the Simatai portion of the Great Wall and the remote Chuandixia village. Because they were several hours from the city, it gave us a chance to see the country side of China. Also, because these sights were further away, there were no crowds. In fact we were the only tourists there during our visits, which made it great for taking as many pictures as we wanted. The whole experience was just what we wanted. We wanted the flexibility of a personal vehicle and a personal guide. Our driver Mr. Gao, was excellent. He maneuvered through all the Beijing traffic with ease. It was wonderful a wonderful trip and we would recommend your company to our friends.

Dear Ms. Chen,

I'm back in the USA having thoroughly enjoyed my stay in China. What a wonderful country you have!

Hotels and Meals: The hotels were wonderful, the people very nice (even though they laughed at me trying to eat with chop sticks---it was pretty funny), and the food was fabulous.

Tour Guides and Driver:  I would particularly like to commend two of the crews we met with: In Shanghai, Lemon and Mr. Chen were wonderful. Lemon gave us lots of information about Chinese culture, Shanghai customs, local food in Shanghai and Zhoujiajiao; they even took us to a grocery store to let us have a look around and pick up some necessary items. Mr. Chen braved the two hour drive through hectic traffic from the airport to the hotel (the flight was only one and a half hours) without a complaint or frustration. They both did a magnificent job of making our stay in Shanghai very pleasant and are to be congratulated on their professionalism and excellent attitudes. If I ever get to return to Shanghai, I'll be sure to request this great team, and to recommend them to anyone else I might know who will be travelling to Shanghai.

In Guilin, Ann and Mr. Wen were also wonderful to be with. Friendly, punctual, and very professional, they both made us feel like we had a friend in Guilin. Ann kindly arranged for us to go on a hot air balloon ride in Yangshuo which was a highlight for me. The landscape in that area is spectacular and after the Li river cruise, the hot air balloon was a treat. Mr. Wen even emailed photos that he took to me.

They were both very accomodating and helpful. This is another team that I would be sure to request or recommend to others. Unfortunately, it is not often that I can afford such an amazing trip. I wish I could return, because there are many other places in China that I would like to see, and, in particular, I would like to spend more time in Guilin. As is it, I have many fond memories of my trip and feel like I have made friends, especially with Lemon and Ann. Thank you, too, for all your help in arranging this trip for us. It was exceptional!!!

Dear Candy,

Greetings. My trip to China was spectacular. Thank you for all of your help. The most memorable attraction is the Great Wall of China. It is amazing to walk on the great wall and enjoy the sight form both side.

Tour guides: We got along well. She was very helpful to me, and provided me with good information.

Meals and hotels: I enjoyed the lunch of the first day the most: buffet style.

Comments: Even though I only spent time in Beijing, I felt that I experienced a good deal of Chinese history and culture. I would advise anyone who is traveling to China to spend at least some time in Beijing.

Hi Elaine,

Thanks for your e-mail. We have been back for almost a month now and we're still talking about what a wonderful time we had in China! We were sorry that we did not have time in Guilin to meet you. Guilin is such a wonderful city and we really enjoyed our visit there.

Most Memorable Attractions: Our whole trip was memorable but I would have to say that the most memorable attraction for me was the terraced fields in Longsheng outside of Guilin. I loved the day that we spent there.

Tour Guides: All of our tour guides were excellent, but my personal favorite was Tracy in Beijing. She was a lovely young woman, who had excellent English skills and she had a wealth of knowledge about Chinese history also. She was thoughtful and flexible and we thoroughly enjoyed the time that we spent with her. At one of our lunches I asked her about the particular spice that was in one of the dishes and she went out of her way to find out the name of it and at the end of our time with her, she gave me a bag of this particular spice (prickly ash). I was really touched by this kind gesture.

Hotels and Meals: The hotels were all quite excellent. Our favorite was the Salisbury YMCA in Hong Kong due to its excellent location and its amazing breakfast buffet.

We had a wonderful time, and saw so many things. We were glad that we had 18 days in China. One thing about our itinerary that we would probably change is that we might skip Hong Kong....we are not interested in shopping which seemed to be a big part of the attraction of Hong Kong. One day in Hong Kong would have been plenty of time for us to see what we wanted to see.

We would be very willing to talk to other customers and potential customers about our experiences. You are welcome to provide our name and contact information to them.
