Dear Rachel, Thank you so much for making the cruise arrangements. All is good. We do not know who else made the other booking. Do we need to cancel the other booking? We have not been able to figure out who made it. Please let me know. We will wire the money as anticipated. Also, we may need other arrangements for flights and such and will let you know as we are planning. We have been quite happy with your assistance and wish to continue to do business with your firm. Thanks for your kind help. Sincerely, Jerry L. West
Dear Christine, Victor and Paul, Thanks so much for a wonderful trip to China. It was great that we were able to plan and coordinate our trip with you through the internet. Your help in customizing our tour was great, and we certainly could not have done it without your assistance. Your responsiveness made our trip planning a pleasure! When we finally arrived in Guilin, it was great to finally meet you all in person for I felt we had developed a friendship. My parents and I have been talking about how great our trip was and when we will return to China. Now all of my relatives want to go to China as well. I would certainly recommend you to all of our friends and relatives! Thanks again for helping create fantastic memories! Sincerely yours, Karen Chin, Ginie Chin, John Wong, Murray Hill, NJ"
Dear Rachel: I have been back in the USA for one week, and have shown my Guilin and Yangshou and Longshen pictures to everybody I know. My China trip was delightful. I saw little villages and places not all get to see. And many, many thanks to you and CITS for putting together such a delightful week for me! You worked hard and diligently to get me such a nice trip after the Yangtze trip was cancelled. I don't know how to thank you all except to say you did a wonderful job and I shall recommend you to all my friends and relatives. Again, thanks so much for your efforts on my behalf. Say hello to Mr. Yuan, and tell him to e-mail me the information about the school in Guilin where I can come and teach English. Thank you again. Larry Manzo
Hello Paul, How are you? I hope you are having good time in your wonderful country of China. I was so glad receiving an E-Mail from you. I had a great time in china, and I can still see it in my video, and those beautiful places that you took us. I'd like to thank you for your kindness and knowledge followed by good personality. I think all of our group had great time with you. Shanghai was very pretty, and we also had a good guide there. I am here still in process of getting back to my normal life from china. Please be in touch with me and let me know if you find any company that can make those clothing for me. Best regards From your remote friend in US.
Paul, Thank you for your e-mail, it was beautiful. And thank you for the birthday call you sent. It was very kind. It was hard to say good-bye, the trip was a very magical journey, in which the world seemed so tiny and so vast, so familiar and so mysterious. You were absolutely not an idiot tour guide! It is certainly challenging how to share your homeland with six guests from across the world in only ten days! You did a really wonderful job, and the whole group felt lucky to have you as our guide. I too can not wait to develop and create images from the trip. Japan has been great, too-- my travels have left me very inspired, and becoming a little tired, and looking forward to a return home, to my father and mother and brother, whom I miss deeply. I will tell you more when I return home… Hope this letter finds you well, Susan
Sir: We were members of a tour group organized by Pacific Delighe Tours who visited your region on October 18th and 19th, 2000. The local guide assigned to lead us was Ma Ning, whom we came to know simply as Ning. Ning in our estimation, a sentiment echoed by practically all the members of our group, was a superb guide in every respect. She deserve to be noted and rewarded for this fact. Ning first appeared before us on the bus we got on soon after our arrival at the airport. We were almost immediately impressed by her warm and congenial personality, which made us feel comfortable, unafraid to ask questions, a sense of anticipation and eagerness see the places listed in our itinerary, and a belief that she would look after our interests and needs with strong attention and trust. Ning's command of the English, particularly in pronunciation, vocabulary, and idiomatic usage was excellent. We had no problem at all in understanding what she said and, in fact, it was a pleasure to listen to her. Of all the CITS guides we had in China, Ning was by far the best in terms of her use of English and in establishing a relationship bond which made travel with her in Guilin and environs a joy. In her descriptions and comments about the areas we visited and the regions through which we traveled, Ning was impressive in knowledge and in her grasp of timing about what to say and when to say it. Moreover, she answered questions willingly and thoroughly and gave no hint of exasperation when the same questions were repeated or otherwise not needed. During the time we were in Guilin, she was with us as a total group, or smaller units, or single persons, at least more than twelve a day, showing us what we were supposed to see as well as additional sights. One day she took four of us in the rain, who were the only ones who wanted to go, to Fuboo Mountain; she could have easily declined to do this on the basis of numbers, but her desire to be of service and her sense of duty would not let her. On the two evenings we were in Guilin, she accompanied persons who wanted to get a massage and she brought those who wanted to observe Cormorant hunting to where they needed to go. She even did not forget what one might call the small things, like showing my wife and myself where to buy Osmanthas tea and what kind to buy. For our benefit, the good of CITS, and for Guilin, Ning worked very hard and put in long hours, and she succeeded in making our visit a very memorable one. If within the CITS system, merit is considered for promotion, a raise in pay, or other benefits, Ma Ning should be so honored. I recommend her without reservation to you for primary consideration in this respect. Thank you very much for you kindness in accepting and reading this letter. Vincent Ponko,Ph.D.

Dear Sir/Madam, My husband and I participated in a China tour organized by the Gate 1 Travel Agency in September-October 2000. While in Guilin, our tour guide was Miss Bingli Jiang(Jelly). It is our pleasure today to drop a few lines to you in commendation of Miss(Jelly) Bingli Jiang. Despite her young age, not only did she prove herself to be a knowledgeable guide who answered our questions and curiosity about Guilin in particular and life in China in general in impeccable English, she also was a courteous, friendly and pleasant guide to be with. In our thinking, she is and will be an asset, a jewel(not a "jelly"!)to your organization. We had to write because no physical survey was handed out to us to fill and rate the services rendered during our stay at Guilin as was the practice. Our visit at Guilin was short but very enjoyable. We extend our thanks to you and your organization. Truly yours, Mrs.Kim-Oanh Nguyen
Dear Victor, Once again just to say a very big thank you for showing us Guilin and being so informative, friendly, patient and knowledgeable. The group thoroughly enjoyed the tour and I must say guilin is a very beautiful place and I know that the group will be able to sell it very easily and I hope that you will receive increased business from south Africa. Please let us know if you are visiting South Africa and we can show you around our Country. Best regards. Cathay Pacific - Liz Lollos
Mr. JIng: This is just a short note to let you know how satisfied I was with your company during my recent visit to Guilin. I was especially impressed with the tour services provided by the guide you assigned to me, Ms. Huang Boling (Pauline). Her command of the English language was better than any one else I worked with in all other cities I visited. In addition, she demonstrated flexibility, great knowledge of the subjects we visited, concern for my satisfacion with your company, and a high degree of excellent tour guide services. She appears to me to be a very intelligent, highly motivated individual, who has the best interests of both her company and her clients as a top priority. In my humble opinion you made an excellent choice in hiring her. Surely, if you have additional employees of her caliber, and continue to completely fulfilled. My thanks and I wish you well. Respectfullly, HENRY J. WARREN
