Dear Cheryl:
I would like to thank you very much for your attention in organizing our trip, which was absolutely fantastic! I must say that the trip exceeded both my husband's and my expectations.
China is truly a magnificent country! I must commend each of our guides, Vincent Wang (Beijing), Ann (Zhangxinxin) (Xian), Jiajia Tang (Shanghai) and Cecilia (Suzhou) for their professionalism, expertise, and friendliness. Each of them are truly wonderful ambassadors for the city they represent and they made our stay in each city a great experience. They are certainly assets to your organization! I would recommend China Highlights to anyone based on the guides that we had. If you would please pass my email to each of them to Thank them so much for making our trip one of the best we've taken. Or, if it is possible, for you to pass to me their contact information (mailing addresses / email addresses) so that I may personally thank them.
My husband and I hope that we will have another chance to visit China and we will certainly make our tour arrangements through China Highlights. Thank you again for organizing our trip!

Dear Eva,
Find below my answers to your questions:
Most outstanding attractions:The Great Wall and Pingyao as you could immerse yourself in the feelings of them
The most outstanding tour guide: Michele and Linda as they thought of things we that might interest us not just during the day but also in evenings. Lucia was good but we only had her for half a day.
Hotels and meals: Once the room was sorted in Beijing hotels were good (and excellent when you upgraded us) thank you. Lunches were good and interesting.

Dear Karen,
Thanks for your help in organizing our trip in China. All your planning was perfect. All your guides were prepared, nice and easy to work with on the minor changes that occurred. Best to you and your company. Thanks again for everything.

Dear Elaine,
We had an outstanding time in China. We were very impressed with how well our guides spoke English and their vast knowledge of the history and cultures of the area. They were also very flexible and rearranged our itineraries when we had time conflicts so we could still see everything.
Most memorable attractions:I was most impressed with the Three Gorges tour and the Terra Cotta Warriors. I would definitely recommend your services to others. I'd recommend the mag/lev train ride to the airport from Shanghai. Also, we returned to Shanghai from Suzhou by train instead of by car. This was based on a recommendation from travelers we met on the Three Gorges Cruise. We had a fantastic time and really thank you for your patience with revising the itinerary as we finalized our plans, both before and during the trip. Have a wonderful year.
Sincerely, Paulette Woods
Dear Candy,
Please see my answers below. I had a fun trip
The most memorable attraction: I had to do the Yangtze river cruise and the great wall. And they were great. However I would have loved to stay the entire day around the summer palace.
Tour guide: I had 3 people total, two of which picked me up primarily to take me to the airport. So Emily would have to be the most outstanding. However everyone seemed knowledgeable.
Hotel and meals: The restaurants in Beijing were all good. I know China highlights have contracts with all scheduled stops. Even though the owner may have changed hands since their initial evaluation all were good.
Comments: Summer Palace, more time! Please consider giving the guides either business cards or name badges with the 'china highlights' logo. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable however I was by myself and did not know these people. I trust them because they knew I was coming but there is no true identification. If I were with a group I would feel more secure.
Best Regards,
Dear Candy,
It's now a week since we are back home from our China trip. And at the end we can tell you that everything went smooth, we stayed healthy during all the time in China and we didn't have to change our itinerary at all. All reservations have been done according to our wishes and the tickets were ready at the time needed. Let me go through your questionnaire in short:
The Most memorable attractions: Li River Cruise / Yangtse River Cruise ,Terracotta Army in Xi'an and Shanghai. We only had a tour guide for transfers in Chongqing and Yichang. All went perfectly well.
Hotel and Meals: All hotel arrangements we have done by ourselves. We were happy that we stayed in hotels like Sheraton, Novotel and Four Points by Sheraton. We know the chinese food and we like it. But we had to learn that the local chinese food is sometimes a bit strange for non-chinese. The food on President 2 was prepared also for western taste and we enjoyed it.
We will recommend your company, specially the knowlwgdge and services provided by Candy Wei, to our friends at all times. We will share our impressions with friends here in Switzerland and shall also recommend China Highlights as travel office.
With best regards
Ruedi and Bettina Bertschinger Seehaldenstr.
Hi Candy,
Here are some of my suggestions and observations from our recent trip:
The most memorable attraction that we visited must be the Great Wall of China. The children particularly enjoyed the attraction, especially my son who is 8 years old.
Tour Guide and Driver: Nancy Kim was a very efficient tour guide. She allowed us a great deal of flexibility and we were able to see the Olympic Village and go the the Ya Show market. I must also commend her for being very good in dealing with the children. My daughter enjoyed her company very much. Wang Sian Shen, who was our driver during the tour, was also very good. I usually do not enjoy long drives because they make me nauseous, but Wang Sian Shen was a very good driver.
Accommodation: We stayed at the Novotel Peace Hotel. The rooms, as well as the housekeeping service, were excellent. My son needed to have his shoes repaired, and the hotel promptly sent a utility man to do the repairs, which we appreciated very much.
Overall, Candy, it was a good tour. I would really appreciate it.
Best regards, Trina Yu
Dear Candy,
Thanks for organizing the trip for us. Following is the reply to your questions.
The most memorable Attractions: By far, our favorite part of the tour was the hike along the Li River. I really appreciate the fact that you and Vivian took the time to scout out the route for us in advance. We had a great time rock balancing! Definitely not on the tour plan, but Vivian was soooo flexible.
The most outstanding tour guide: Vivian is an absolute gem. I would highly recommend her to any of my colleagues, and we wish we could have taken her to Shanghai with us! Vivian always treated us like old friends from out of town. She was very proud of her culture and heritage, and was gracious to answer our endless questions about her family and the local customs. Kelly was fairly knowledgable about Shanghai. The highlights were the Yuyuan gardens, the museum, and the side trip to the first Communist Party meeting place (very informative).
The hotels and meals: The Guilin hotels were both great. I liked the food and fitness center a little better at the Waterfall. Vivian did a great job finding enough vegetarian options for Rob when we were on tour, which I know was a challenge. All the food was very good in the Guilin and Yandshou restaurants. Minnie Mao's was a lot of fun. We only had two meals with Kelly in Shanghai. The first lunch was quite good, and again thanks for adapting the menu to our needs.
Comments: The side hike we took in Longji was the absolute highlight of the day there. I wish we had planned more time for hiking away from the tourist areas, perhaps even spending a night there and hiking between the two terraced fields. I would recommend the hiking trip along the Li River to anyone with the physical stamina required. Perhaps taking the final portion on the carts to save some time and energy to explore Xingping.
Best Regards,
Dear Candy,
Sorry for taking us so long to answer to your email, but Marcelo has been travelling between Mexico and NY since we got back from our trip to China. We had a great time there and we were very pleased to have chosen China Highlights. Everything worked out smoothly, our guides were great, specially Grace, and Guillin was really worth the trip! You can be sure we will recommend your services to our friends.
Thanks again,
Claudia Di Lorenzo/Brazil
Dear Karen,
The trip that you organised was really fabulous, extremely interesting, and well worth the cost.
Memorable Attractions: Experiencing the city of Kashgar and all it had to offer was probably the most memorable attraction for me, although that covers a number of things. To stand in a city that exhibits influences from both the rest of China as well as the ethnic and cultural elements of Central Asia left a deep impression. Seeing the remnants of the old wall of China was also very memorable, although I had thought that more of it would still be evident. The centuries have taken their toll, but nevertheless I was glad to have seen it. I also was pleased that I asked you to include both the Yumenguan and Yangguan passes, as both of them are worth visiting.
Tour Guide: The most outstanding tour guide was Raziye. She was lovely, and very concerned for my welfare. But the other guides were also good, it is just that Raziye was particularly outstanding.
The hotels and meals were generally up to standard. Both Raziye and Ablimit took me to local restaurants that served Uighur food. They were good experiences.
I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending your company to friends and colleagues. Thank you for all the excellent work you did in putting it together, and customising it just for me.
As I mentioned, I was glad to include the Yumenguan and Yangguan passes, as they were both very interesting.
Thank you again for everything Darrell
