Dear Angela, I had a wonderful time in China and would like to thank China Highlights Travel and especially you for providing such an excellent service. I managed to indeed see the highlights in the four days I had available, and would love to return at some stage in the not-too-distant future when I am not so pressed for time. The itinerary you arranged was exactly what I wanted and everything went like clockwork. There were no problems at all. I realise now how wise it was to have you arrange everything before I arrived, as the language barrier is a huge problem. Before I discovered your web site, I was hoping to arrange all tours once I arrived in Beijing, but realise now that to do so would have been quite difficult with the limited amount of free time I had available in the four days of my business trip as well as the difficulties posed by my not speaking Chinese. I must compliment you on your tour guides, especially Aaron in Xian and Leo in Beijing, who were both so knowledgeable and answered all questions with the utmost patience. They were very funny as well and really made everyone on the bus feel part of a group and helped us get to know each other. One thing I was curious about was why they did not eat lunch with us, as we would have enjoyed their company over a meal. The hotels you booked for me were very good as well, especially the Peixin Hotel, which had everything one needed, and the staff were very polite and friendly, even though we had a bit of difficulty in understanding each other at times due to the language barrier. I have kept their card and would definitely stay there again. Their restaurant in particular was very good. I will always recommend China Highlights Travel to any of my friends and family who are thinking of travelling to China and will contact you again when I am planning my next trip. Your service was exemplary and prompt and you certainly made planning and paying for my trip a very easy thing to do. Regards and thanks Vicki

For anone who does speak Chinese, it would be very nice. Overall, I had a wonderful trip to China and highly recommend it to my friends. Best of luck to you and thank you for all you did to make me feel welcome in your country. Teresa Wolff from USA
Dear Kitty, Forgive me please for not writing earlier but when I came home last week I had much to do having been gone three weeks. I am back home safely as are Rosalie and Susan. We all had a magnificent time. Your arrangements were perfect. Rosalie and Susan were well taken care of in Xi'an and Beijing. I had a very good visit to Jack's village. His parents and grandparents were very kind and generous. I helped harvest rice, picked cotton, swam in the river, slept very well, except for the roosters crowing. Tuesday night your president Jiang Zemin will be in Chicago and I will be at the official banquet for him. I will send you some of the pictures we took at lunch which came out well. It was wonderful meeting you. I will recommend everyone to you. I will be in Hong Kong on November 21-23 and 25-27 ( in between I will be in Hanoi with my wife) as also in Hong Kong. Hope to see you soon, and thanks again for everything. Phil

Hi Angela, Good to hear from you. What can I say, its been a great trip. I am still reliving the experience as I am in Singapore. Could not have asked for a better trip considering that I am doing it for the first time. The tourguide, Mr. Yue was excellent and a veteran in his area. He knows what he was doing. In spite of of being a veteran, he still maintained the same kind of enthusiasm that a new tour guide would have. As we know, one might get bored after doing the same job for a long period of time but that was not so with Mr. Yue; he infused humor and interest into his talks and made it an enjoyable trip. In terms of the planning for the trip, I was very pleased with the professionalism, efficiency and good naturedness with which you interacted with me. I was happy with the quick responses to my inquiries and also your many suggestions for my trip. I was also extremely pleased with the flexibilities we had in rearranging some visits to suite our needs. Could not have asked for a better trip. It has far exceeded my expectations! I would be happy to be a reference for potential customers to your agency and would highly recommend your company and you! Tom
Dear Clare, We are now in Hong Kong, and have completed the China portion of our trip. We have had a WONDERFUL trip, and we thank you so very much for making the arrangements for us. Everything worked very smoothly, and all the hotels, etc. were completely satisfactory. We will write again when we are back in the US. When we were in Chongqing, the guide was very helpful to us, and even took us toa grocery store to get a few things before we got on the boat. I wanted to give her some money (perhaps for her to buy dinner for herself). ...So please tell your people in Chongqing to tell the guide that we thought she did a very good job for us. Thanks once again,
Dear Angela Gong, After a long trip to Asia-- first China and then onto India-- we have returned to the states. My parents and I want to thank you for arranging 3 wonderful city tours (January 16-18) for us in Beijing. Also, please extend our thanks to Thomas who was our guide to Tianamen Square and the Forbidden City; Matthew who was our guide to The Great Wall and the Ming Tombs; and Sarah who guided us through the Hutong. And to Lou was kind enough to pick us up at the hotel at 4:00 a.m. in the morning and drop us off at the airport on the 19th. We hope to visit China again sometime in the near future. And perhaps we will make the trip to Xian. All the best A Mohan
Hi Elaine, Sorry I've been so long. First I must say that I very much enjoyed the tour you arranged for me so quickly. I was a bit worried at the start, when I had no itinerary and no official receipt and only a ticket from Beijing to Xi'an in exchange for my 13,000 yuan or whatever it was, but after I had persuaded the hotel to take me in everything was fine. The tour guides arrived and the tickets arrived at each hotel and I found all the places very interesting, especially Guilin, where the guide was particularly good. I shall get in touch with you again next time I'm in China, which should be fairly soon. At present I'm in HK and off tomorrow to see some other countries in the region.
Dear Clare, Here we are back at home after our fantastic trip to China. Thank you so much for doing all the organisation and making the holiday so memorable for us. We saw everything we wished for and were able to enjoy the travelling as well as all the sights. Our guides were all very different characters and all great! Tiu in Beijing gave us a wonderful introduction to the Chinese people as well as to the sights. He was engaging and amusing as well as knowledgeable. It would be difficult to name one experience in Beijing as the best but we will never forget struggling along the Great Wall with people from all over the world. Clare, our Yangtze guide, was serious, thoghtful, kind and helpful. I felt she had a particularly difficult task as she was travelling with us on the boat and eating meals with us as well as being our personal guide. She was consistantly polite and helpful, clearly took her work seriously and was wonderful company. I felt we got to know each other well and parted as friends. I was so pleased that we were able to see the Yangtze, particularly the Little Gorges before the first big innundation next year. In Xian, Lynn really contributed to our enjoyment. She was proud of her region, it's history and heritage and communicated her enthusiasm to us.What sights she was able to take us to! The Terracotta Army was astonishing. I find it difficult to put my feelings about it into words but we have the pictures, both real and in our heads, to remind us.Sean loved the birthday present that she chose for him - a bronze wine cup. Finally Annie in Shanghai was able to show us some of a modern city - mostly in the rain! That did not dampen our - or her - enthusiasm! The Jade Buddah temple was lovely and I particularly enjoyed the tranquility of the Yu Gardens. Hongkong was a good last stop on the tour. It felt more like a European city and helped us re-acclimatise for home. It was easy to make our way around without a guide and we used the brief time we had there very well, and even managed to take a trip to Kowloon on the Star ferry. I must also mention the travelling between the various locations. All the fights were fine and we found the bus journey from Wuhan to Sashi particularly fascinating. The guides for the transfers here and in Chongqing were also helpful. You will see from this email that we loved it all and, despite Sean having come back with a Chinese virus(!), have already recommended this personal tour arrangement to friends. I will send our evaluation sheets by post. Please pass on our best wishes and comments to all our guides and thank you once again for all your efforts on our behalf. Very best wishes, Sandy Boyle
Dear Angela, I would like to thank you very much for your help in tracing our money. Your assistance during our tour has been the most precious to us and be sure we will use your service any time we are coming to China in the future. It is the most unusual and pleasant surprise to have come across to so honest and responsible person as Mr, Liyong and his fellow workers and superiors. I would like to thank him directly and personally and to give my words of appreciation to the Habour Plaze Hotel direction, for their professional and trustworthy personnel. I will write an official letter next week also to your company and to the Hotel direction to express my feeling. I would like that the10% of the found amount is paid to Mr. Liyong for a reward, as we are used to do in Italy. Therefore please deduct the amount due to Mr. Liyong from the money you are going to remit to our representative Mr. Charles Tang, in Hong Kong. This simple episode has fortified in me the love for your marvelous country, made of beautiful cities and unique landscapes, but most of all by the most wonderful people that I have ever met. Thank you again Carla Delfino
