Dear Elaine,
Overall we had a good time and found the trip to be very interesting. We really enjoyed the Great Wall, Rice Terraces, Li River Cruise, and Peking Acrobats. All of our guides were very helpful, knowledgeable about the attractions, and professional. Jingjing was the most outstanding of the three as she was very flexible and did not try to upsell. She arranged tickets for us for the Peking Acrobats - came with us to the theater and made sure we were seated properly before she left. The tickets she arranged were at a discounted price and here was no extra cost for her time. Wallace went out of his way to ensure our room was taken care of when the air conditioning was not working. Wallace was also helpful in arranging tickets for the local folk show in XIan.The room in the Guilin hotel was very nice and the desk staff were professional. Yes - the service was excellent and professional.
Hi Jane,
Just to thank you and Karen(an excellent travel advisor) and everyone involved in our trip to China. We really had a fantastic time and everything went like clockwork. Our four guides were absolutely lovely and very helpful. The food, especially that recommended by our guides was great. We learnt a lot about Chinese culture from them. The only little complaint was our hotel in Yangshoo. The Aiyuan Hotel. I know it was 3 star but breakfast there was very disappointing. The dishes that should have been hot had been prepared earlier and as a result were very unappetising. Also, now this may not have been their fault but it was not possible to use the internet. Other that that small complaint, and it is a small one, we had a great holiday and would recommend China Highlights highly. Thank you again for your patience and the very best of luck to you all. Regards, Norma O'Riordan
Dear Candy,
I hope that you have received my Smilebox photos and that you can share them with Vivian. Vivian mentioned that you take foreigners to volunteer to help out with your marketing. I would like some information about that opportunity, please. I also mentioned New Orient Cruise from a>YiChang to ChongQing to you. It is a very excellent cruise line. If you would like information about it, you can call Kassie (my son's, Wang Jun Guo - English name of Gabby - friend) at 07178562214. She is very nice and has been working for them for many years. Actually on of the things.
We enjoyed the most was the bike ride through the country. Vivian was great! She was very open to answering our questions, she went beyond what she had to so that we got the most enjoyment from our trip and she was fun to be with!I liked both hotels and all the meals. One thing I always tell the peopel who come to China with me is to be FLEXIBLE! Being flexible and open to new experiences will make your trip more fun and enjoyable. I would reccoment the outdoor show by Zhong Yi Mo (I hope that is correct spelling) It was fantastic!
I still feel very sad about the earthquake - it is so terrible! We contributed money in Hong Kong as they were collecting for it. Such a horrible tragedy! I feel so sad for all the children and the parents. It has been horrible to hear how poorly the schools were constructed and how they were the the most vulnerable buildings. I hope that everything can go well for China in the Olympics. I consider China to be my second home....I love China!!! I wish you all the best success with your company. Warm Regards, Linda
Dear Eva,
It was wonderful to meet you in Guilin. We had a truly amazing trip to China. Thank you again.
1. Probably Huangshan and the Li River were the most memorable because we love spectacular landscapes but all the places we visited were new and exciting.
2. We felt all the guides were helpful and courteous. Ivy gave us a fantastic welcome to China and we felt very 'at home' with her. Linda was a great enthusiast for Beijing and we really enjoyed touring with her. Claire was perhaps the outstanding guide because she dealt so easily with a couple of problems we had and, of course, she has such a bright and lively personality.
3. The hotels were excellent although the dining room/breakfast at Pacific Luck in Shanghai did not come up to expectations (the room and location were very good however). In general, we liked the hotels with more of a Chinese character best. We liked the way our guides chose local foods for us at lunch. We greatly enjoyed these.
4. We would definitely recommend your company. We were able to relax and enjoy our trip.
5. We were embarrassed (sometimes into buying) by the sales pitch at the various factories we visited - most of which gave an interesting introduction. We did not like being followed around by the sales representative. Otherwsie, we thoroughly enjoyed getting to know about China, its people, its food and its landscapes.
There were plenty of highlights at every place we went to. It was indeed a fastastic trip and we may well come back one day.
All the very best,
Eva. Diane and Ken Johnson Canberra Australia
Hi, Elaine,
Definitely the Terracotta warriors is the best sight. I have been looking forward to this for a very long time and it was a dream to go there. I was not disappointed. It was like stepping into history for a moment, being part of something grand and at the same time something mysterious, knowing that all this is just a little part of what is still out there. I walked around pit1 several times and kept on looking at the warriors over and over again. It was hypnotizing.
My guide was Sheryl and she was very nice. Obviously she knew her stuff and was able to answer any questions. Speaking with her and asking her questions, I could easily figure out that she had gone beyond just learning the stuff from her company but had done additional research and looked for more information. But most importantly, she was also interested in the people coming to her tour. She asked the right questions to figure out their likes and dislikes and was able to incorporate elements to the tour, based on that.
She was very attentive and gave a little personal touch to the tour. the hotel was good and nicely located in the City. The personal was very friendly and very friendly and efficient. The meals were great. Sheryl ordered plenty of food to make me taste several dishes from China and I loved it. When she learned that I was OK to try new things and liked spicy food, she did order accordingly and I am thankful for that. I would not say I had one favorite meal because the 2 she ordered were different and hmmm... I liked them both.

Dear Angela,
Vicky, she did the things, no one else did. When we arrived at my hotel, she & the driver brought my luggage up to my room. They made sure the air conditioning worked, the TV worked, the lights worked. Every day, Vicky was the one who contacted the front desk with a time for my wake up call. It was Vicky who made sure I got an umbrella from the hotel. It looked like it might rain, we were lucky, no rain at all. Vicky made sure the umbrella was returned. Vicky understood, I was traveling alone, and I did not want to eat lunch alone. She dropped the customary practice of going off with the driver during lunch, and joined me. Vicky called to get me a ticket for the Acrobatic Show. I gave her the money, but it was Vicky who went to the box office to physically get the ticket, brought me in to the theater, to my seat, and was there to escort me out and back to my hotel. That was a very long day for her and the driver. Vicky knew I was clueless in China. She got my train ticket to Qingdao, and took me directly to the correct train, correct car and correct seat. She text messaged my son in Qingdao with my new arrival time. Those are some of the things, that were important to me, and Vicky just knew to do them. She held my hand every day.
Dear Jean,
I wish you a good day and thank you for all your services. I am writing on the 4th of June from the Shanghai Airport before going home to Australia. We were met by your representatives in every city - Shanghai, Beijing, Xian, Chongqing and Shanghai. They took us to hotels. They were very helpful and kind. They brought us train tickets for travels to Beijing, Xian and Chongqing. Thank you very much. I would be happy to recommend your China Highlights Travel services to my friends and relatives. My wife Larisa is also very grateful. God bless you.

Hello Karen,
We just wanted to let you know how great our trip was. Everything was so smooth and organized. At each stop of the way, we were so impressed with your staff. Fu Hui Hui (Snow), our tour guide, in Shanghai was extremely knowledgable and our driver,Guo Kai yuan, was very good. We always felt safe with him driving us. Our trip to Zhoezhuang went very smooth and we enjoyed the time we spent with Snow during our Shanghai visit. Her knowledge of Shanghai was most impressive. The tour guide that met us in Yicheng, Zuo Fei (Coffee) was very good and was right there to meet us at the airport. His knowledge of the city was very impressive and the driver was very good, also. They got us to the Victoria Cruise Line without any problems. Our cruise down the Yangtze was wonderful and we will keep those memories forever. Peter Pan and driver met us in Chongqing at the cruise ship and he was very knowledgable regarding Chongqing. His english speaking skills were much appreciated at the airport. He was able to help us with the reservations back to Beijing. I hope that everyone is fine after the May 12th earthquake. I know that they did have damage in Chongqing and we are thinking of all the nice and wonderful people we met while we were there. My husband and I just wanted to let you know that your tour company was most professional and made our trip so complete. We felt very safe and in capable hands throughout our trip. We have and will recommend your company to everyone we know. Again, Thank you to you and your entire staff for making our recent trip so pleasant.

Dear Jean,
I'm back in the U.S. now, and every part of my trip in Asia was successful. The China portion was very well organized and overseen by you. I especially want to thank you for your quick, efficient finding us an alternate way to get to Kathmandu from Beijing in the wake of the earthquake in Sichuan. That all worked out very well, but we are still very saddened to hear about the terrible loss of life from the earthquake. I still want to go to Tibet sometime soon, and I will approach you when it is time to book it.
Dear Jean,
I'd like to thank you for the trip you organized for us. Everything was really great! We did not expect China to be so advanced. I even told to my elder daughter that she has to go and work in China and she promissed me to learn chinese (she was having lessons last year in China) I'd like to make some comments about guides who met us. We were really pleased with guides in Beiging and Shanghai. They were very helpfull and teached us a lot. The guide in Hong Kong was little nervios and always in hurry. The program that we agreed had to be discussed and re-scheduled again. If you don't mind I will recommend your agency to my friends wishing to go to China. I will be happy to recommend your services to potential clients.
Best wishes from Cyprus, Anna
