Eva I had a great first visit to China. Shanghai was vibrant, a real noodles and dollars collision of east meets west. My China Highlights tour was better than I could have hoped for. I found Yellow Mountain stunningly beautiful and Jerry was a perfect guide. My overnight train trip to Guilin was good fun and my time with Lisa on and around the Li River was also very beautiful. I realised that my trip would have been impossible without Jerry and Lisa to help. They made everything work and were friendly, helpful with excellent local knowledge. I am already advising anyone who is interested in seeing the real China to book through you.

Dear Cheryl, Thank you for your enquiry. As stated in our evaluation response, we appreciated very much your efficiency in organising the tour, the tour itself which covered interesting aspects of the area we visited and Alex's friendly, courteous and informative guiding. Just a comment regarding when we came to Hong Kong. There is no need to go to the expense of taking a taxi from the airport to the hotel as the airport express train runs a very fast and inexpensive trip to Kowloon station (and other stations) and links with free transfer busses to major hotels. On return to the airport check-in can be done at the train station which made for a smooth departure. We will certainly consider using China Highlights for a future trip to China. Dear Karen, I wanted to thank you and to say I'm sorry we didn't stop by your office to visit. Guilin and Yangshuo were very interesting to see (if a little cold!) and Ken was an excellent guide. I do intend to return during a late harvest/autumn time and might even prefer to do some backpacking/biking through the area (after improving my mandarin skills!) The evening performances were beautifully done (I still think about the brother we heard ¨C it was very affecting) Thanks Paul Hebert

We had a great time in your country and were very impressed of many many things. We will need some time to digest all the impressions we had. It was a great trip. Everything was organised perfectly and all the guides you had for us were more than very very helpful, very professional and supportive. Specially we would like to mention ? Heinrich?° and ?Kun?° those two guides spoke very good german and could explain everything to us. They really deserve a great complement. Hi Angela, Good morning, there is no need for us to come to the office, unless it is to get warm, it is cold. Our stay here was excellent, we had a most dedicated guide and driver team. Qi Shu Ren and Xuant were fantastic. Guilin is a beautiful city, the Li river cruise and the caves left us breathless, We would have liked to spend more time here, perhaps next time. Hello Mr. & Mrs Schneider, Angela and I spend 10 days in China, I definitely recommend 10 days to be the minimum. We visited Beijing, Xian & Shanghai. We arrived at the end of Jan and stay through the Chinese New Year (FYI: it's the Year of the Dog). Like yours, it was a private tour. The packet we got included the travel within China, hotel, guide, driver, breakfast, lunch & some dinners and several nightly shows (ie Beijing Opera, etc). I'm sure your're probably a little worry. I did research for about 4 months before our trip. I called the State Department, the American Embassy in Beijing and the Chinese Consulate in Los Angeles just to make sure that there were no problems with the tour company or our visit. Please feel free to call me at 910-261-6651(cell-sprint) (NC number but I currently live in Hawaii). The weekend is definitely best time to reach us. Anytime is ok, except your early mornings. Depending on where you live on the mainland, you could be 5 hours ahead ( i.e.easter standard time). You could also give your number and a time to contact you and I can call you. Dear Mr. Schneider: Morgen Mo of China Highlights Travel has inquired whether I would comment on our experience with them as a travel advisor to China. We (two of us) toured China 2-10 Jan 2006. We visited Beijing, Xi?ˉan and Guilin. Morgen sent a very interesting itinerary and was helpful in modification of the itinerary at our request. We attended a wedding in Hong Kong (Kowloon) prior to heading for Beijing. All travel arrangements (flights) were handled through Morgen. He made arrangements to have our airline tickets to Beijing at the hotel where we stayed in Kowloon. The tickets were there the day we checked in at the hotel. The airline tickets from Beijing to Xi?ˉan, Xi?ˉan to Guilin, and Guilin to Hong Kong, were handed to us by our tour guides at the end of each city tour. The tour guides were very conscientious. It was very cold in Beijing. My friend lost her gloves one day, and our tour guide, Nancy Wang, handed both of us gloves and a scarf for her when she met us at the hotel the next morning. She also kept an eye out on the weather report and revised the itinerary accordingly. It did not rain or snow while we were in Beijing, but there was a day of high winds, which Nancy was aware of, and she made changes in the itinerary as to where to tour on that day. She also added on a couple of places and deleted some places which we decided not to visit. The bottom line was that she was very flexible, extremely conscientious of our welfare and comfort, knowledgeable of Chinese and Beijing history, had a good command of English, very pleasant and easy to talk to. The same can be said for the tour guides in Xi?ˉan (David Liu) and Guilin (Chen Yi Zhong). We highly recommend these guides. Morgen and China Highlights did a great job of making the arrangements. I showed our itinerary to friends who had expressed some disappointment in their earlier tours to China and they were impressed with the itinerary. Hope your visit to China is as wonderful as ours.
