Our guide Tom was our BEST tour guide by far. He has a delightful personality & is extremely fluent in English. It was impressive how he understood and was able to carry on intelligent conversations on complex historical subjects. I found him considerate, sensitive and knowledgeable about Western culture and American preferences. It was also delightful to discover & experience his gift of making both modern & ancient Chinese history come alive.

We never saw more advanced airports, bus and train stations like in China!! the infrastructures are fantastic. The amount of build up is so large!!! it looks so modern. We come to see "old China" the "forbidden city" the temples and Pagodas, and they were absolutely grand and fantastic!! The Terra Cotta soldiers are unforgettable, The Pandas so cute! the silk work is so artistic, The great Wall is indeed "great". We saw how the rich and the poor live and how the life down the river keeps on going, crossing the 3 gorge Dem was great - we stayed up until 2 am to pass it!! We met wonderful people from all walk of life and liked them.

I just wanted to say thank you for putting this together for us. We really enjoyed it. There were a couple of things we were not completely happy with, (you may have seen that in our detailed feedback forms), but all in all, we really enjoyed ourselves. All the guides were very good and made us feel very welcome. We both loved Beijing and the places we visited. I believe Sean, our guide, made it so much the better. He was by far the best guide we had and just on his efforts alone I would recommend people to use China Highlights. He not only spoke to us about where were at the time, but also about China's everyday life too. It was all so facinating. For me learning the differences about communism and tbe western governments was so educational to me.
