Dear Elaine Zhao shang hao! Ni hao ma? We arrived at home and we are fine! This is to thank you for your perfect and invaluable work. You made our first trip to China a dream coming true. The Lijiang section of the trip was very beautiful, too, although the weather was not so good, to understate. But I suppose the weather China Highlights has not power on! Hangzhou and Shanghai were very beautiful too and we are making our friends and families happy with our tales of China and the lovely Chinese people we met. In the future we will contact you for several opportunities. We are thinking about a trip to Northern China and a trip with a group we could organize from here. Dear Angela !!! We want to tell you that everything went perfect!!! we are really very very very happy with all the arrangements, coordination, guides, places, hotels. We still cannot believe that we already went thru all that, after a lot of time of planning. We recommended Chinahighlights.com to everyone in our way while in China and once here. Once again, your arrangements and organization was perfect. The local guides (Julia and Rita in Beijing, Vicky, Windy, May, Cristina, Helen in Guangzhou ,etc.) were all very friendly. Dear Morgan Mo Thank you for your email. We had a wonderful holiday with China Highlights. We found all the guides helpful, knowledgeable, polite and friendly. We would highly recommend your company. We have in fact told our friends and family all about you and told them if they travel to China they must use you. There were so many "best things" but it would have to be the visit and holding of a six month old Panda. Something you only do once in your life. Even if we had not been able to have a photo taken with the Pandas it was the "best thing" just to visit the research centre and see what amazing things they have achieved there. The next best thing was the people of China. we met some lovely people. I didn't realise how excited how I would feel in first seeing The Great Wall of China, it took my breath away. We had read that the Beijing Opera was fantastic. It was and we highly recommend it to other travellers. The Impressions Sanjie Liu waterbased show we saw in Yanshuo was amazing; another not-to-be-missed. Our guide, Heqian, recommended it. We are so glad she did… .Even the thunder and rain didn't spoil it. The cycle ride was such a good idea, it would have been nice to do more of that. Thank you again for a very enjoyable holiday. Dear Morgen Mo, The train to Lhasa was well worth the problems of trying to get the tickets. The train was immaculately clean, there were even fresh flowers in the toilet and they did not run out of toilet paper for the whole journey! They found the best English speaking assistant on the train and sent her to us to help in any way she could. The scenery was superb and the journey so relaxing that we did not need the oxygen. It was unfortunate that we could not use the dining car when we wanted as the views from there were much better for photos. The other really good thing was our excellent guide who spoke good English, was very knowledgeable and was prepared to be flexible and suggest really good alternatives to plans where things might be difficult. E.g. the visit to a farm in a village. Thank you for all your help. I have learnt a lot from the trip and your help has been very valuable. Having our own driver and guide was so good. We were a bit nervous about booking over the internet, but everything went like clockwork and all our guides were competent, extremely hard-working and sensitive to our interests. Dear China Highlights Morgen has taken care of our every need through our internet correspondence and his expertise in his job. We have been pleased with the speed of his answers to us and for his care. Everything went as close to what he told us as was possible. We were very thankful that Morgen was able to find an alternate cruise for us with the exact time schedule that our entire 30-day trip had already been planned around. That was wonderful. The financial compensation for changing from the President 1 to the Three Kingdoms was to be picked up at the railway station and to stay in the Guobin Hotel in Yichang was an excellent choice offered by Morgen. Cindy and the staff at the hotel gave us excellent care. They even wrote out taxi directions for us to be able to go to shop with the local people as we had before when we taught in China years ago. Our cruise guide, Susan was wonderful to us right from the beginning and she was willing to take care of our every need or explain our needs to the crew and they took care of us. Everyone made this a wonderful trip we will never forget. We certainly had a 5-Star crew at our service at all times. We enjoyed the side trips and learning about the Three Gorges Dam project. We also enjoyed getting some insight into the lives of the people of the area and to learn about what has been going on in their lives as so many of them are having to leave where their families have lived for all of their lives. We are happy to realize they are being taken care of. We really enjoyed our tour of the Lesser Three Gorges. That was beautiful and so informative. Our guide for that trip had been an English teacher and we spend most of the tour learning many things from him that helped us to understand even further about the project, culture, etc. It was a wonderful tour.
