Hi Sunny Firstly a big thank you for your help organising the two-day trips we took. I found your service speedy and responsive, very professional and efficient and would certainly recommend it. Secondly, I have answered your specific questions below: The best thing: I was travelling independently which I enjoyed even if it was a little challenging at times. Suggestions to other travelers: I used the overnight trains between Shanghai and Beijing, and Beijing and Xian. I thought the train travel was excellent although the stations did not live up to the standards of the trains. We travelled in private sleepers and the train staff were very helpful and professional and the restaurant car was excellent. Regards Mike

1. The best thing about our trip was China as a whole, it is an amazing Country, the people are extremely friendly and helpful, there are so many fantastic things to see and experience. Every place is different and has its own special qualities. Anyone who is contemplating a trip to China should book now – they certainly would never be disappointed by this amazing Country and race.
2. There is absolutely nothing more that China Highlights could do to improve our trip. We can honestly say that we did not have one thing that we could complain about. Everything worked like clockwork and we were so well looked after. Each of the guides were exceptional, the transport was good, the hotels exceptional (a bowling alley in the hotel in Beijing), food etc etc. We would recommend China Highlights to any potential traveler in China. We met many people on our trip from different counties using different tour companies, and when we compared what our trip included as compared to there's - ours was far more organized, better hotels and better value for money.
3. There are so many sites in China that should not be missed such as The Great Wall, Summer Palace, Warriors, Yangtze, The Dam, Li River, Shanghai, Xian etc etc. Our tour of each of the places we visited covered all of the best attractions. Some of the things we added on were a boat cruise at night in Shanghai to see all the lights and also an acrobatic show which was outstanding. In Yangzhou we saw a water show, directed by the person who will be doing the opening ceremony for the Olympics, this was by far the most impressive show I have ever seen and definitely not to be missed if you are in Yangzhou.

We felt China Highlights exceeded our expectations in every regard. Starting with Sunny, who was so helpful in personalizing our itinerary. Then the memorable tour guides Sam (in Beijing) and driver Mr. Bai (the best driver in Beijing) to Sonan in Lhasa and driver Nema there. These two stood out for their very different but pleasing personalities. I also want to single out Helen in Xining for her professionalism. Every member of your staff was punctual, and always where they were supposed to be. They were all knowledgable and proud of their heritage. We really enjoyed the Shangbala in Lhasa--clean, friendly, English speaking (more or less)staff, quiet, with a very good breakfast. As two women traveling alone, we always felt safe everywhere in China and Tibet.

Comments about our trip:

1. Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, Summer Palace--all truly amazing, must see
2. Acrobatic Show--very enjoyable, highly recommend
3. Hiking the Great Wall-- the highlight of our trip. Hiked the Mutianyu section, will never forget this experience. Recommend skipping Badaling, and going to Mutianyu or Jinshanling
4. Terra Cotta Warriors--another awe inspiring must see in China!
5. Xian City Wall--very interesting, wished we had had time to bike it
6. Lhasa--loved it! Don't miss the Tibet Summit Fine Art Cafe for cheap internet, fantastic coffee, and super friendly staff. Be sure to get a massage at the Braile Without Borders school for the blind.
7. Potala Palace--8th wonder of the world. Don't miss.
8. Yangtze River Cruise--fun, comfortable, clean, great food, English speaking staff.

The services provided by China Highlights Tours were outstanding. We were very pleased with the guides and drivers, as well as their timeliness and their desire to provide even services which were outside of the scope of the tour.

Hi Sunny, Everything went to time and as in the itinary , it was the best holiday without any problems I have ever had. The places and scenery could not have been selected better, each time I was to meet a guide he/she was there and could not have been nicer people, their English was very good and knew their area extremely well. I must say we had an excellent holiday. We were met everywhere we went and our guides were charming. Couldn't do enough for us and were well informed. Joy in Beijing was an absolute delight. She made our stay there something to remember and was always thoughtful and caring. There were tears at the airport when we left. She made our stay memorable and interesting. Freeman in Xian was also wonderful. We found the trip fulfilling to say the least. The trip down the Yangtze was fantastic, a much needed reprieve after an exhausting week. Our hotels were good. The Anting Villa in Shanghai will become our stop off when we go there on business. Bruce goes over there about every six weeks and he was impressed. We all agreed that Chinahighlights did an excellent job on our itinerary and provided us with an excellent service. We thank you for that service. It's the first time I have booked over the net and not met my travel agent face to face, so that was an experience in itself. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and am so glad we finally got to see all those points of interest we have only read about or seen on television. Dear Cheryl, we are safely back to Italy and we are very very satisfied with our visit to China. We enjoyed every single moment of our trip and we want to thank you very much for organizing things so well and for being so prompt to make a change the only moment we felt necessary to make a change in our program. All hotels were very good, rooms large and nice. At the Bravo Hotel in Guilin, they were particularly nice and changed our room to a non smoking quieter room than the one they had given us in the front street. All transfers were absolutely perfect. We always found the guides with sign with our names clearly displayed waiting for us at arrival , all drivers were very nice, cars perfectly clean and comfortable. Carla and I want to signal as particularly good the guides we had in Suzhou: Susan and in Chengdu: Java; our Tibetan guide, Passang, although not perfect in English was extremely kind and took good care of us as persons when we were altitude sick, providing medicines, checking our health in the evening through telephone calls, thus we felt we were taken care of, that somebody was worrying about us, while his boss was very honest returning the money we had paid for the visit to Gamden Monastery where we could not go, because of our state of health. My husband and I have travelled for 31 days through China on our wn visiting the most important towns , Tibet, some very interesting Bhuddist places ( dazu and datong) ,taking the Yangtzee cruise . The services provided by Chinahighlights have been very accurate. Transfers to and from airports always punctual, drivers have always driven very carefully, (we went around Tibet for more than 600 km) , we found the hotels very good and the beds very confortable. Most of the restaurants have been very satisfying and food delicious . The only time we had a problem they solved it in less than 15 minutes. We will of course use again their services for our next trip through the northern part of China. Trust them, they are great, very punctual in answering also during the organization of the trip. Of course when we went to Guilin we went to meet our advisor Cheryl Chang and this is a very nice memory for us now.
