Hello Sunny
We had a great time in China and returned to Australia two weeks ago after visiting other countries.
The whole trip was good. The various sights of Beijing , Xian and its wall and Terracotta warriors, Yangtse and Shanghai impressed us very much. We were lucky to be in Beijing for the 60th anniversary celebrations, even though we had to change hotels so that we could avoid the lockdown and travel to the airport.
The disappointments that it was foggy the day we visited Great Wall - but you can't control the weather. But we were very lucky in that we booked on a group tour and received a private tour with guide and driver. This was excellent and made our whole trip so easy and enjoyable.
The tour guides were all very helpful and knowledgeable. We were particularly impressed by Christina's knowledge of archaelogy and history which she put to use with a very good tour museum in Xian. Andy, the driver in Beijing, was outstanding with his smooth, safe driving in very heavy traffic. And all the hotels were all excellent with good breakfasts although the beds in China tend to be firmer than what we are used to.
The cruise accommodation was not the same standard as the hotels. We were lucky to have the opportunity to upgrade to a larger cabin which made a big difference. We would have had difficulty with our bags. Also it was more private with a balcony outside rather than a walkway.
Too many WOW factors to single out during the travel. We all had a very good experience and your team was very helpful as your representative.
Thanks!
Anthony
Dear Michael,
Thanks for organized such a great trip. We enjoyed the terra cotta warriors, Huashan Mountain and seeing the people living in the mountain (the long-haired women, etc.) at the Longsheng terraced rice fields in Guilin.
The reed flute cave in Guilin was amazing. We were also impressed that when we decided to see the Impressions show in Yangshuo that Jenny worked that evening, walked us in, met us afterward, etc.We were also impressed that you took us out to dinner and gave us a gift. That was above and beyond our expectations.
We might have stayed 2 nights in Yangshuo rather than just one.We have already told people about the warriors, Huashan Mountain and the terraced rice fields. We enjoyed the Impressions show but wasn't sure it was a very good value especially since we do not speak Mandarin and couldn't understand the songs.
Again, thank you for everything.
Tina and Tom
Dear Delia,
How are you? I hope you are fine.
We just came back to our country, so I would like to thank you personally for the generous hospitality we got upon arriving to your office. Meeting you was an additional reason for us to like China. If I can suggest, I would think about making a one day tour at your company for the tourists, so they can see how kind, funny, and beauty the Chinese people are!
Moreover, I would like to thank you again for choosing the best guide 'Jenny' that every tourist would dream about having someone like her. she is amazing for many reasons, that I might miss some of them if I start writing them down. However, in general she was so friendly, active, knowledgeable about the places we have visited, and helpful. The places we visited were so beautiful, but I believe that Jenny made them even more beautiful with her sweet spirit and her sense of humor.
I believe that the only thing that disappointed us was leaving Guilin without fare-welling you. It would be so nice if we met you again, but I guess we can always keep on touch.
Best Regards.
Mohammad
Dear Jean,
Thank you for the wonderful tour. The highlight would have to be the Great Wall. I am glad that I went to the farther section rather than the closer, commercial one.The toboggan trip down at the end was fun!
Each of the guides was very good and I would recommend them to anyone who visits those cities in China. My first guide in Beijing was very helpful and personable. It was more like he was a friend than a tour guide.
The hotels were all excellent. The Bell Tower Hotel in Xian, with a view of the Bell Tower out my window, was exceptional.
I would definitely recommend your company for the quality of services, the knowledge of the guides and the extra effort (such as referring me to the company that obtained my visa!).
The only thing that I was not aware of was that the guides were not always going to be eating meals with me. Since I was travelling alone, I invited them to join me at each meal.Sometimes they felt that they could not accept. It might be helpful in the future if you mentioned this to solo travellers.
Thanks again for your help. When I next return to China, I will certainly use your company.
Thank you!
James Lynch
Hi Delia,
I just wanted to say thank you for all your help on my recent trip to Guilin and ChongQing. You were very helpful and it was a pleasure to work with you.
Also wanted to thank you for the calendar. It’s on my desk now and every time I look at it I think of the good time I had in China and the person who helped make it possible. You!
Thanks again for your help. I will look forward to planning my next china vacation with you and recommend you to anyone who asks.

Hi Delia,
I had a fantastic memorable time, Yangshou and the bike ride around the area was great. The Li River cruise, Yangshou bike ride, the terrace rice fields made me feel WOW.
Liliy was excellent guide and host, she's knowledgeable explaining about the history of various areas/attractions. Very pleasant person to be with and flexible. Always on time in the morning and assisting in many ways ( i.e. hotel check in/out and getting good seats)
Lijiang Waterfall hotel was fantastic. Excellent breakfasts and lovely rooms. I'd like to suggest the tourists that everyone should visit Yangshou and Guilin while in China.
Thank you for everthing
Bill
Dear Carol,
Hi This is Chris Rourke, my assistant Thea Pabillore booked our trip to China in late October, but I thought it would be better if we responded directly to your questions. In short, we had a wonderful time and each of our guides (Jack in Kashgar, Serena in Xian, and Jeff in Beijing) were excellent, and the drivers were efficient, safe and friendly.
It's our second trip with China Highlights. Below are my thoughts on my China tour (along with a couple of pictures).
As wonderful as the sights of Beijing were, I'd have to say Kashgar was my favorite. Jack made a quick stop at a Saturday Market on the way back from the desert trip, and I think that was the highlight for me. The food in Kashgar was outstanding and the scenery was incredible.
I'd have to say Jeff in Beijing was our favorite, because he was amazing with our two boys. I'd strongly recommend him, especially to anyone traveling with children.
Jack from Kashgar, is an excellent guide and was very good at keeping the sites interesting for both the kids and adults.
Serena was very knowledable on the history of Xian and we enjoyed learning from her, she would be perfect for travelers looking for historical perspective on their China vist.
They were all world-class.
We were happy with all of the hotels, but the most comfortable was in Xian (but the best breakfast buffet was in Kashgar).
Kind regards
Rourke

Feedback From Cheryl
Dear Carol
We are home (and a bit jet-lagged). I must congratulate you on a job extremely well-done. The trip was fabulous and everything went very smoothly and efficiently. Despite having travelled extensively, this was one of our best and most memorable vacations, much of which we owe to you.
The itinerary was perfect (although, if I had it to do over again, I would probably have spent a bit less time in Shanghai) The guides were very good: knowledgeable, friendly, and flexible, especially Vicki, Lilly and Steven. However, we were disappointed in John and extremely unhappy with Snow. John gave very little information, was inflexible, and didn't seem to take his job seriously. Snow gave us NO information, was very unfriendly, didn't interact with us, and wasn't even aware or interested in our whereabouts. I apologize for having had to contact you but applaud you for rectifying the situation so quickly and effectively. Steven was the exact opposite of Snow: knowledgable, warm, personable, and anxious to please.
Highlights for me include Longsheng Terraced Field (my favorite spot), Shanghai Acrobat Show, Matianyu Great Wall and Summer Palace.
It was a pleasure meeting you and having dinner together. Many thanks again for the the thoughtful gifts.
Carol, you were a pleasure to deal with.Your efficiency and responsiveness were exceptional. You are definitely my preferred supplier for China and I have already mentioned to my co-workers what an excellent job you did.I am looking forward to recommending you and China Highlights to future clients. This trip has given me the opportunity to add China to my highly recommended destinations.
Many thanks again.Hope to be able to forward some memorable pictures.
Most sincerely,
Cheryl
Feedback from Joan
Dear Carol,
Jr and I wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed meeting you during our recent trip to China, and thank you for your thoughtful gift. We also wanted to thank you and your staff and guides for a wonderful three weeks. You truly made it the trip of a lifetime. The itinerary was wonderful and the arrangements were precise and well-organized. We did not have a moment's worry about anything, even though we were covering a lot of ground in 21 days. China is an amazing place to visit, the people are wonderful and welcoming, and you made us feel at home. If I'm ever asked about the best way to see China, it will be easy to say, 'China Highlights.'
We cannot say enough about your guides. They were professional and personable. Their knowledge and patience was astounding. We not only learned a great deal about China and its culture, we made new friends. In particular, though they all deserve praise, we would like to single out Vicky in Beijing, Lilly Guo in Guilin, Helen in Yi Chang, and Steven Jia in Shanghai. Vicky taught us some Chinese and helped us decipher Chinese characters as well as giving us the flavor of Beijing's long history, and showed four first time visitors how to negotiate a new place. Lilly showed us the natural beauty of Guilin, and managed to stuff four days worth of touring into the two that we had; she pampered us and even made sure we had the perfect gifts for our grandchildren back home. Helen saved the day when we forgot our computer on the cruise boat. Not only was she capable and calm, but found it, had it delivered to us in the airport, and still made sure we saw her city, Yichang. She's a great guide! And Steven gave us the history and sights of Shanghai in flawless English, negotiated our special requests, and made sure we knew what we were doing on our day 'off,' with grace and a sense of humor. Your guides did more than point out the sights; they gave us China and it's people. They are wonderful ambassadors, not only for your company, but for China.
Thank you, and please extend our appreciation to your guides,
Joan
Hello Delia
I think the Temple of the Five Banyan Trees is most memorable - particularly because our guide explained about Chinese Buddhism and showed us how to worship the Buddha. My guide Eve did an excellent job.
It was all very efficient and I have nothing but praise both for travel advisor Delia and guide Eve, we will recommend your company to my friends and colleagues without hesitation.
About the special suggestions,I'd like to pass on to other travelers is to warn westerners about the sanitation.
best regards
Justin
Dear Candy
We returned from our journey happy to be back home, and happy for having lived such experience.
I must tell you I am so glad to visit Longji terraces. It was one of the more beautiful places we have ever seen. In the tour Longji Terraces in Guilin and Li River were the most memorable attraction we visited. As for the guides, It is difficult to point the most outstanding one, but probably in Xian we had an excellent guide, Jing, who made us enjoy everything very much. The hotels were all very good, we enjoyed especially the swimming pool in Guilin and in Hong Kong. The meals included in the tours initially were too spicy for us at beginning; after several days we learned to ask for not spicy dishes so we could enjoy the meals. The art square, 798 street, or similar in Beijing should not be missed for lovers of contemporary art.
Our eyes and our minds are still full of the images and thoughts about all the places we visited. I congratulate you again for the preparation of our trip, in all its details. Please let me know in case you visit Argentina.
We would definitely recommend your company to our friends or colleagues, we have been very carefully attended, and we have made a journey absolutely satisfactory.
Best regards
Myriam
