Thank you very much for your service in looking after us. We really appreciate it. The tour we did to Chengdu and Jaizhougai was fantastic. The guide, Jerry, was good. He looked after us very well. We did do a lot of walking in the parks, and we calf muscles did not like it!!! And the pandas in Chengdu were beautiful. We were very happy with the hotels as well.
Bob, First, let me point out that this is a demanding and particular group, as you have come to understand well. I would have to give China Highlights an overall rating of EXCELLENT. The arrangements were very good and well intentioned. We did modify a few for our personal preferences or to accommodate peoples mood at the time. The guides were all excellent with a couple of standouts.

The Summer gardens and Longi terraces were the most memorable attraction we visited.Our guide in Beijing Julia as she always said enough and knew all answers and fun. I would recommend China Highlights for all that you just mentioned and will.

The most memorable attraction we visited was the Great Wall. We had some wonderful guides, in particular Vivian, Lydia and Alice. They were all very nice and helpful. Vivian was very knowledgeable, flexible, good personality, and very friendly. Lydia was very knowledgeable and really knew her way around Beijing. Alice and the driver were very helpful in finding the old German buildings that were in our family photos. Also, your well-organized process when we move from one city to another city rates a WOW. One guide checks us in for the flight, bus, etc. and another picks us up in the next place!

Fortunately, my tour guides in Shanghai and Xi'an were both extremely adept at adjusting the schedule accordingly and adding to my itinerary to fill the extra time so that I would still have full day tours and see even more sights and attractions that I had expected.
Penny is a great guide. She is very enjoyable and has good command of English. We enjoyed her company and loved her restaurant and food choices for lunch. Our 1 day stop was short but perfectly organized and well managed. The new bullet train was a real surprise and a great way to travel to Luoyang: fast, clean, confortable and we enjoyed the beautiful spring landscape with blooming fruit trees!
Our guide Jeff was very very good and did a great job in detailing the history and culture which I found interesting. Each day was a new adventure which was down to Jeff's efforts.
