We think that Jane who met us in Chengdu had excellent English and was very friendly and approachable. She was helpful and provided us with a lot of local information and options for our stay.

Our guide Ying was brilliant, very helpful and a lot of fun. She has a very thorough knowledge of Xian, we all learned so much, and her english is excellent. We do plan to go back to Xian at some stage and would like Ying to be our guide again

In a country like China where English speaking locals are not common it was important to us to have guides who spoke English well. The private guides managed to make our tours feel like we were friends travelling together rather than being organised and structured on a group tour.
The trip exceeded all my expectations. We saw so many fascinating things, and it was also a great pleasure to meet our friends in Shanghai. I am very pleased with Chinahighlights as a travel agency. You did really good job, and it was also wonderful to have a personal contact with Chinese people through our local guides. Chinahighlights also handled brilliantly my father's situation when he, at the start of our trip, lost his passport. I am very happy that it did not ruin our trip.
Our tour guide in Xian, Cathy, was very good. She made contact with another tour guide who was working for some friends of ours, and re-scheduled one of our dinners and coordinated with the other tour guide so we could join our friends for a dumpling dinner and show.

We give a lot of thanks to Delia who was able to get us relocated and much thanks and praise especially to Louis, our guide who certainly had to deal with many more things that he was hired for or expected to deal with. He had to deal with the manager from the Grand Continental who was insisting that we stay and saying he had better rooms and had to find transportation for 7 people to get across town at approximately 12:00 midnight.
