 I just wish to add my comments on the trip. I was expecting quality service, but your staff FAR exceeded my expectaions! Your staff treated us like royalty. We were met at every destination and efficiently taken to our destination. In Tokyo we were fending for ourselves and it was much more difficult. You even handle the very difficult task of meeting our uncle in Suzhou. He does not live in an easy area to find and we would never be able to find it on our own.

'Tracy' was able to help with the translation and made the visit special. That visit will be in our families memories forever; without her and the driver it would not have been possible. Lian in Beijing was also great. She was able to understand our need and recommend solutions that made our trip memorable. Her knowledge of the history and tradition of the area was impressive.

I will post on trip advisor when I can. I wanted to add that your calls to ensure meeting my family in Beijing and Suzhou was an extra effort that we were pleased to receive. Knowing that we do not speak Chinese, your efforts and those of Lian and Tracy reassured us, and communicate effectively, almost that you anticipated our every need.

We were very impressed that Eva called to see how things were going; very professional and conscientious!

The Great Wall, air chair and toboggan ride down was the most memorable attraction visited. It is hard to choose Tracy and Lian were excellent with a lot of energy, cheerfulness. We were impressed with their knowledge of Chinese history and ease of communication in English. Both were flexible with how much time we spent at destinations, and punctual. Their personalities made us feel welcome, not that they were just doing a job, but that they wanted to make us comfortable and see to all of our needs. The drivers were also courteous and punctual. We enjoyed the selection of buffet items available for breakfast. The lunch restaurant after the Great Wall was very excellent; the atmosphere was relaxing with good service and food. It would help if you had a few listed supermarkets and informal restaurant list near hotels where one stays so guests can walk to nearby places to eat other meals or get snacks or necessities while in town.

We have already mentioned to friends and family how lucky we were to have China Highlights services to make the most of the time we had there. We also appreciated the referral to Fly China to help us finalize the end of our flight/hotel from China to Tokyo, then home. Charlie( Q Li) was very helpful.

We were surprised how steep and long the walk was( and we took the short route!), so good walking shoes are essential. We were fortunate not to encounter heavy rain while in China. Though not on our intinerary, we visited the aquarium in Shanghai and the International Business tower at night for the lights of the city- both very impressive. Our son was our navigator on how to get there. The guide Tracy took us to Uncle Fu's house, we would not have been able to also go to the Suzhoud garden or museum without her excellent advice.

 It will talke some time to dowload the pictures, but we will send some when they are available.

Yuyuan Garden was the most memorable attraction. Our tour guide did a great job. He explained in a very entertaining way. He answered competent to all questions we had. If we saw something special during our trip, it was explained to us. I would recommend a tour with China Highligths to get a little deeper impression of the country and the way of life. One day in Shanghai is not long enough to get to know special places.

Joanne and I have returned from our Cruise trip and I would like to take the opportunity to share my thoughts with you. Joanne has forwarded to me the questions below.

The tour guides to and from the airport were very knowledgeable and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. They made special stops along the way at our request to allow us to pick up last minute items and to tour the Chinese Cultural Center in Chongqing. The on ship accomodations were fine and I will never forget the side trip in the sampans! The entire trip through the gorges was a life time memory but again, the side trip in the sampans was the highlight for me.

I would, without hesitation, recommend your company to friends and family.

We have just gotten home from our trip to China. Thanks for all your help.

The tour guides were great - all of them tried their best to give us good service and inform us along the way.

The cruise is the best way to see the Yangtse River and the spectacular scenery.  It was truly an overwhelmeing feeling to be sailing the gorges. The cabin and meals were fine.  The absolute best was the trip down the stream with the trackers. It was an experience not to be missed.  The cultural shows were wonderful especially considering the preformers were staff.  One recommendation:  The sound systems when giving the information on the upper deck is not the best.  If a pamplet were also given out with the information printed on it and we could follow along, it would be better.

I Would you highly recommend your company to my friends or colleagues.

We had a wonderful trip, thank you for the arrangements.

I very much enjoyed the Terra Cotta Warriors, what an amazing discovery, hard to imagine. Stephanie was the most outstanding tour guide.  She was energetic, enthusiastic, and very knowledgeable.  We had a great time with her.  She was very flexible in our daily trips.  We had a lot of fun with Stephanie.

Wonderful hotels in Shanghai

I already have recommended our company to your friends and I will use your company again!!! J

My suggestions to pass on to other travelers-- Do as much as possible.  You must get up early and see all the locals, they are very active in the parks.  This was fun to see.  At the Temple, it was great fun to join in the dancing, shuttlecock, badminton and other fun activities.

Trip evulation from us.

Simati section of the Great Wall was fantastic, would recomend it to anybody as worth the effort to go there and see this part of the unspoilt wall. (have attached a picture of Prue myself and our 3 boys on the wall),

Tour guide in Beijing was very good he spoke good english and was very helpfull, we enjoyed the day more so for his efforts.

Hotels and breakfast were very Good, Luxury Serviced Apartments in Beijing were well located, central and a good size,
Sheraton in Guilin was very good, once again well located , nice rooms and good service, probably our favourite of the hotels we stayed at. Radisson in Shanghai also very well located although not as nice as the Sheraton in Quilin, our room was a little old and small but when we asked the duty manager if something larger and more modern was available she moved us to a larger room without any fuss or extra charge, so well done Radisson Shanghai.

We would deffinitly recommend your company, you pleasant maner, attention to detail and execellent service made our trip very memorable.

Yangtzee River cruise was also fantastic and would recomend any traveller to China do it , Victoria Cruise was well organised, good staff, once again execellent food and good attention to detail, in summary a must do when in China and well done Victoria Cruises.
One recomendation we would suggest is that included should be all transfers from all airports to hotels, for us geting taxis from the various airports was difficult as we spoke no Chinese and it was difficult to find anyone who spoke English and the taxi drivers seemed to charge more than they should have. after a flight from and to a strange city it would have been nice to see someone at the airport holding up our name and having a vehicle waiting to take us to our hotel. On the couple of occasions transfere were included it worked well.

To summerise we had a fantastic holiday in China, thanks Virginia for all your help, you did an execellent job and  China Highlights should be very proud of you.

Hi Eva,
Sorry to answer you rather late. We went to spend a few days in Canada right after the China trip, and we just got back home, so as you can imagine, we are pretty tired!!!
Our trip to China was very good, as good as we expected it. The various town we visited were just as pretty as we saw in books!!! So in all, we were very pleased.
We will post some of our pictures so you guys can look at them. And we will write a testimonial later and send it to you. We have a lot of comments for you, just give us some time to recover first!!!

Sorry I took so long to reply. We're been rather busy after a long vacation, so it took us a few weeks to
get back to normal. To answer your questions, here are my answers:
 
the most memorable attraction was definitely Mt HuangShan ( of course second would be Guilin). For an old woman who very seldom exercises, I was very proud to say that I HAD CLIMBED THE GREATEST PEAKS OF THE WORLD!!!!!!!Even though at the end I was absolutely exhausted, but I did finish all of the major peaks that our tour guide took us. That in itself was a major accomplishment on my part. And the scenery was absolutely oustanding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
our favorite tour guide is by far Tony, from Hangzhou. He was pleasant, very open, honest, and a lot of fun, and also he was very knowledgeable (he learned everything from the internet he told us), and we were rather surprised at his intelligence.
 
The hotels on the overall were up to standard, except the Beihai hotel perhaps. We really only need places that's clean and have a nice soft bed for us to be happy. We like the hotel in Suzhou (YuanWaiLou) the most, also the HuaShan hotel (HuangShan) and the osmanthus in Guilin.
 
Yes, we would definitely recommend your company to our friends.
 
Our experience with the trains was the most interesting,on the overall we were a little nervous at first, but after the first overnight one, everything seems to be OK, and at the end, I think I like travelling by train, better than by air or even by car.
Of course I just wish I had more time to explore eveything, but the attractions we visited were outstanding, and we were very pleased.

First, you were very helpful in organizing our trip. We had a great time and would recommend yourself and Chinahighlights to everyone. Second, we used Pacific Delights on our previous trip to China, but would recommend Chinahighlights specifically if a traveller wants to travel on their own schedule. Esther, our tour guide for Xi'an was wonderful, knowledgable, fun, entergetic, accomodating to want we wanted to do. The local restaurants, she took us to for lunch were very good. Not the tourist catering that we experienced on Pacific Delights. However, I will forward your email to Thomas concerning the tour guide he had in Beijing.

We are extremely pleased that we used China Highlights. The quality of services was excellent and we will definitely plan to use your services again. While both of our guides, Iris in Hangzhou and Claire in Guilin and Yangshou, were excellent, we want to let you know how special Claire is. Our trip would not have been the same without her. We feel fortunate to have had her accompanying us on our travels. Both guides were very flexible and accomodated our needs and requests. Claire went beyond all expectations. I have been to China three times and have had many great guides. Claire is the best guide I have ever had. We have a suggestion for guides in Hangzhou. We took the train from Hangzhou to Shanghai, and it was the one difficult part of our trip. We do not read Chinese and as a result could not read the ticket. We had no idea where we were seated. There was also some ambiguity about what happened with the luggage. We would suggest that guides explain the ticket to non-Chinese speakers and describe what to expect when going to the train.
