One of the best parts of our experience was the chance to get to know our guides. They each brought their own insights and we really enjoyed getting to know each one. I was very impressed with the knowledge of each of them. The continuous exchange of information about our two cultures was incredibly interesting. This kind of interchange could only happen on a private tour.

Mr. Shu, my guide in Jiuzhaigou. He was very knowledgeable and shared his knowledge of Jiuzhaigou and the surrounding areas, the history and culture of the various ethnic groups living in the Aba prefecture. He also shared with me many other aspects of the area that I think a tourist would normally not get to see. Mr. Ping Zuo Za Xi, my driver in Tibet provided a safe, comfortable experience, over long and sometimes difficult terrain.
All three guides were excellent - very competent and organized, and they all made sure everything was planned well in advance. We felt confident that everything would happen as we wanted and they were all willing to accommodate any ideas we had.
The most memorable attractions were the trip on the small boat and the tour on the final morning to see the dam from the land.I do not recall Tai Chi Lessons being offered. The welcome party was not very good. The massage services were good, but expensive compared to Shanghai and Beijing.
The guides in Xi’an and Beijing were among the top five I have encountered anywhere in the world in the last 36 years of travelling. They were efficient, warm, very well informed and did everything they could to make a stranger feel welcome and comfortable. The drivers provide a safe, comfortable experience.
We are now in Kunming. Tickets for Chongqing were here on our arrival with a lovely note from Stacy. Please thank her and your Xi'an rep. for their help with the tickets.The ticket change is good, it's good to have a guaranteed seat!
