Dear Eva
We appreciated very much everything China Highlights had done for us during this trip. Your response to our emergency situation was swift and efficient. The unused portion of our trip was refunded, a guide and a driver were made available to us at all time in TaiYuan; and the arrangement to get us out of TaiYuan was provided with very short notice. We really could not have asked for more. Aside from that, we have come to count on you to provide good guides and hotels with good standards. Arrangements with travelling were seamless, as always. Yes, we will definitely recommend your service to our friends and colleagues.

Hello Karen,
Thank you for all your notes regarding our tour selections. Everything went smoothly. All the places we visited were memorable. However, it is the great wall that sticks to the mind. Also all the tour guides were good, although my preference goes to Linda in Beijing, and Sharon in Shanghai - they were very lively, but less talkative in the museums. The hotels and meals were good. I liked the Bell Tower Hotel in Xian best. But I would recommend that your tour allows for an hour or so at the Birdnest olympic stadium. your taxi driver did not stop at this place, so we had to make our own arrangement to visit the place. But in all, it is a memorable China Trip, thanks again.
Regards and good wishes

Dear Karen,
Thanks very much for organizing such a wonderful tour for us. My most memorible experience was the beautiful cruise on the Li river. My guide, Lily was the best. She was very friendly and personable. She met all of our groups needs. All of the hotels were pleasant to stay in, and I would recommend them. The best meals were at the hotel in Guilin. Yes I would and I have already mentioned your company to my friends. For me, this was a trip of a lifetime. I thought that it was extremely enjoyable and I did not want it to end. I have many wonderful memories, and my favorite part of visiting your country was the trip with your company. Lily mentioned more things to do beyond your trip, such as the night cruise around Guilin and the show at Yangshou. I really enjoyed the bike trip in the country. Going to Elephant trunk hill was enjoyable also. The Pearl shop I was interesting, but I would not consider it a highlight. That part of the trip, I could take or leave. Going in the cave was interesting-but the best part of the tour was the cruise and the bike ride in my opinion. Lily was so informative and pleasant to be with. We all truely enjoyed the experience, and I feel that it was because we had such a terrific guide. Please tell her that we still think of her and talk about our vacation to Guilin!
Best Wishes, Carol
Hi, Jay,
We came back to Maryland on 10/27 and it has been almost 2 weeks now. I am still adjusting myself to my normal schedule. Getting better everyday. We had a wonderful time on the boat and trip was great and unforgetable. I forworded the survey to Mrs. Cressman and asked her to answer the questions listed below. Again thank you so much for your help and arrangements.

Dear Sunny,
The most memorable attraction we visited was THE GREAT WALL. We like CHRISTINA IN XIAN. HER LOVE OF CHINESE HISTORY ADDED TO THE TOUR. THE HOTEL IN XIAN WAS THE MOST ENJOYABLE, THE HOTEL STAFF WAS DETERMINED TO SEE WE ENJOYED OUR VISIT. THE RESTURANT AT THE GREAT WALL WAS THE BEST MEAL WITH THE TOUR: AUTHENTIC, SPICEY WITHOUT BEING OVERBEARING. We will recommend your company to our friends or colleagues. As to the tour reminders, YOU NEED TO FORWARN THE TOURIST ABOUT THE AMOUNT OF WALKING THEY WILL DO. WE HAD NO PROBLEMS, BUT DID GET TIRED AFTER WALKING THROUGH THE FORBIDDEN CITY AND TIENANNMAN SQUARE.

Hello, Grace! Thank you for sending me the China Highlights posts from time to time! I have enjoyed reading about the tea culture this morning. I highly treasure the "Emporer's Tea" I brought back home with me from Hangzhou. Here is a set of pictures that brought smiles to my face this morning, and I thought you might enjoy them also. Americans are very fond of "animal" pictures, particularly unusual ones.I hope they come through for you okay! ! ! Recently I have begun sorting through all my little "notes," my written record of last summer's trip to China and several other places.I have typed eight pages, and I am still writing about our first day in Beijing! ! Somewhere in here I will take the time to write another letter about my dear personal tour guide in Hangzhou, Snow. She was simply wonderful in every way. My driver (whose name I cannot recall here at work) was also completely professional, and a HUGE help to me in every way.The more I think about them and my time in Hangzhou, the more I know how incredibly lucky I was! And of course, I have you, Grace, to thank for that! Again, thanks so much for keeping me on the China Highlights list! With every good wish, Carol Cantrell China Highlights guest, Hangzhou,June
Hi Karen

Dear Jean
I'm writing to thank you and China Highlights for arranging our visit to Xian and cruise on the Yangtze. All the arrangements, flights and tours went smoothly. We want to thank Cindy, our guide in Xian and our driver for making our visit so interesting and enjoyable, and specially thank Cindy for suggesting a detour to the Han Yang Ling museum on our way to the airport. It's almost as good as Qin's Terracotta Army but not well known. I've posted a review on the Trip Advisor web site which I hope will attract more visitors. China Highlights could also try promoting it more. Our only disappointment was our choice of MV Emperor for the Yangtze cruise. Although the trip was interesting and quite comfortable, and the ship staff were excellent, we do not think that the Emperor should be advertised or priced as '5 star'. The ship itself is not in good condition. Advertised facilities such as jacuzzi and western restaurant were not provided. Meals were very uninteresting. Some suggestions that would cost little but make cruising on the Emperor more attractive Provide a better choice of fresh fruit, either at breakfast or as a complimentary fruit bowl in the cabin Provide juice, soda or beer at meals, not just water or green tea Provide sachets of coffee and black tea in the cabin, not just green tea Overall we were very satisfied with our trip and would strongly recommend China Highlights.
Thank you

Dear Michael,
I cannot even begin to tell you how wonderful my trip to Beijing was!!! and it all began with meeting Eileen at the airport. This was my very first time traveling alone overseas, and to say the least, I was quite nervous, but Eileen put me at ease the very first moment I met her!! She made me feel so very comfortable and really helped me with many things - from checking in at my hotel, to arranging for me to see the chinese acrobatic show. We had a wonderful 3 days together!! And I was actually a bit sad to say goodbye. When touring the sights, she gave me just the right amount of history, before sending m on my way to explore the sights alone for a while . . . this was also perfect for me. Especially at the Great Wall, I cherished my time bring able to look, think and 'be' while knowing she was a short distance away. I felt extremely lucky to have had Eileen as my guide and I would recommend her again to any friends who are planning to travel to Beijing. Eileen is an excellent guide - your company is extremely lucky to have her!!! The driver, although not English speaking, was safe, courteous and prompt. He got me to the airport very early in the morning, with plenty of time to spare! I had the trip of lifetime, thank you again and again and again , , , ,
Sincerely, Abby Hanrahan
Dear Eva
I am glad that Lorna, Bert and I had an opportunity to meet you in Guilin. It is always nice to put a face to e-mail messages. We all enjoyed our visit to China and thanks to you things went smoothly. This was my first trip to China and it was a great experince for me to see and experience the history and culture of China personally. Lorna and Bert have gone home directly from Shanghai but I am still in Japan and will not be home for another week. As requested I am attaching a photo taken when we visited you. A great big thank you from the three of us!

Hello Eva,
We had a great time in China. We were impressed with your professional services and would highly recommend your company to our friends. We were particularly impressed with our guide Oscar, in Guilin, he was very accomodating and helpful, very attentive to our needs and on his recommendation, we were fortunate to see the light show in Yangshou. The show was one of the highlights of our trip. Our guide in Betty in Yichang was also very good. At the airport, we indicated to her we could check-in ourselves and that she could leave, but she insisted that it was part of her duty to see us safely through to our boarding point of departure. We were glad she did, because it was very chaotic at the airport that particular day. Flights were delayed, and after enduring the long wait and line, we got upgraded to first-class seats. A pleasant surprise also, was that we got upgraded to executive rooms at the Bund Hotel in Shanghai. May I ask if your office had a hand in the upgrade ? Thanks again Eva for a wonderful trip.
Kind regards,
Lorna PS Upon Mr Isihiguro's return from Japan, we will gladly offer our comments on some of the blog websites.
