Beijing Roast Duck Restaurant
Beijing Roast duck is renowned to be one of the most traditional Chinese dishes all over the world while among all the restaurants that serves Beijing Roast Duck, Quanjude Restaurant and Bianyifang Restaurant are the two most famous and enjoy a high reputation. Both the two restaurant brands have a history of over one hundred years but they represent two different schools of roast duck.
Quanjude
Quanjude is the better known one, founded in 1864, uses an oven without a door. A kind of dressing is spread all over the duck and the duck is hung in the oven over the flame coming directly from the burning of the fruit-tree wood. The cooking time is forty minutes. They have developed their own technique and are famous for outstanding quality.
There are 12 Quanjude branch restaurants in Beijing while the oldest branch restaurant can be found in Qianmen Shopping Street and the largest and the most splendid one is Hepingmen Quanjude Restaurant. The other two popular branches are Wangfujing Quanjude Restaurant and Fangzhuang Quanjude Restaurant due to its easily accessible from downtown.

Nuage is located in Beijing’s Houhai area. This long-running for around 10 years restaurant serves classic Vietnamese cuisine besides nicest views in town. The portion of dishes at Nuage was not too much and tends a little pricey side. But it's still a good place to try, especially for a romantic dinner.
