National Museum of China

The National Museum of China is located on the east side of the Tian’anmen Square in Beijing which was founded in February, 2003. It is the largest comprehensive history museum in China and holds the country's most important historical objects. In China's History Exhibition, the earliest items are the teeth of Yuanmou Man, dating back 1,700,000 years. The most recent are historical artifacts from Xinhai Revolution of 1911.


The National Museum of China contains over 620,385 cultural items and it displays many precious and rare Chinese historical artifacts which can not be found in other museums around the world.


From March, 2007 to the end of 2010, the museum was undergoing expansion. It is now covers nearly 200,000 square metres. Today The National Museum of China is the largest museum in the world with its first-class facilities.
