I think the key factor to the success of our visit (and it was indeed successful) is the recommendation we got from our friend to use the services of China Highlights as a tourist agent in China. When we found out that the last flight of our tour leaving Beijing was cancelled at the airport we immediately called Candy. Candy Wei;she responded to my e-mail on September 7th in which I asked about a trip to Guilin.As it turned out, arrangements for air and hotel were made for me by another, and when I arrived in Guilin, in a bout of rain, I contacted Candy to inquire about a day trip on the river.Within a short time, she came back with a wonderful itinerary, and a very positive weather report!
