Tour Details
A domestic flight will take you to Hangzhou from Beijing. Your Hangzhou tour guide will greet you at the airport. Check in at the hotel and, later, we will start the amazing Hangzhou tour from West Lake. West Lake, along with its beautiful love story of Lady White Snake, is an iconic Hangzhou tourist attraction. A boat trip over the tranquil lake with a visit to the island on the lake somehow becomes a must-do in every Hangzhou tour. Continue our tour to Lingyin Temple which is noted for the 470 stone carvings of Buddhist figures dating back from the 10th to 14th century. Lunch is at a local restaurant which serves great authentic food. In the afternoon, we will sample some new tea at Meijiawu Tea Plantation and Tea Shop. Up in Meijiawu Tea Village, with over 600 years of history, the Hangzhou tour offers you an authentic experience by watching the tea picking, tea processing and tea sampling. There is no pressure to buy.

Today we head to the ancient village of Wuzhen, where the traditional lifestyles for farmers are still kept alive. The ancient town holds its distinct charm with plenty of historical and cultural sites of interest. The 1,300 years of history has put a vintage tinge on the riverside houses. Wuzhen ancient town is formed by Dongzha (the East Sector) and Xizha (the West Sector). Both sectors display its charm in ancient stone bridges floating on mild water, stone pathways between the mottled walls and its delicate wood carvings. Dongzha is more touristy while Xizha is more tranquil and spacious. Lunch is at a local restaurant. Night stay at Hangzhou to explore the charm of the ancient water town.

Today we will first visit the Six Harmonies Pagoda, located on the north bank of Qiantang River. Originally built in the North Song Dynasty (960-1127), the pagoda is a masterpiece of traditional Chinese brick and wood structures. The name comes from the Buddhism idea of harmonies between Heaven, Earth, north and south, east and west. Later, we will spend an hour or so at the Hu Qingyu Hall Chinese Traditional Herbal Medicine Museum, learning about wonderful Chinese herbal medicines. Lunch will be taken at a great local restaurant. Take a walk through Qinghefang Pedestrian Street in the afternoon. Our guide will see you off at the airport after the tour.
